Driven by its fascination for Johannes Brahms’s famous Horn Trio, the Keras Trio embarked upon its artistic course together. Already the classic works have become a constant element in its repertoire – but soon enough, the three artists’ curiosity led them to explore contemporary music as well, especially since such music significantly expands and enriches the literature for this instrumental combination.
The trio’s experiments with concert forms provide further accents and set new standards. In this, borders – in terms of genre and countries – are crossed, in order to recombine them in new forms. Thanks to its collaboration with artists of all kinds and musicians from various cultural circles, the Keras Trio’s work remains creative, lively – and without boundaries.
“Curiosity knows no boundaries.”
- Mauricio Kagel
